Bitcoin News Mash-Up: Amsterdam Bitcoin Capital; Bitcoin VAT-Free in Finland; and More
Following are the major Bitcoin news of the day

Amsterdam Hopeful to be The World’s Bitcoin Capital
Renowned payment processor BitPay partnered with Dutch startup BitStraat to launch a project named Amsterdam Bitcoin City. This project is initiated with the aim to make Amsterdam the ‘bitcoin capital of the world’, for which the two aforementioned companies have decided to give away free bitcoin terminals to around 100 traditional stores throughout the Dutch capital. One of the founders of BitStraat, Mr. Max Barendregt said during the announcement:

“The Dutch capital has a history and a name for being technologically ambitious as well as open minded and forward thinking in general. A currency for the people free from centralized control would be a natural fit. We aim to enable visitors to our city to pay for all of their expenses in bitcoin, including their stay in a hostel, their trips to museums and their diner at local restaurants.”

Finland Regulators Categorizes Bitcoin as a Financial Service
The Finnish Central Board of Taxes (CBT) recently classified Bitcoin as a financial service, after which the cryptocurrency automatically became qualified to receive a VAT-exempt status. The new ruling from the Finnish finance authorities is different from its counterparts in other European countries, except Belgium which also classified Bitcoin as a financial service.

Newegg Announces to Participate in BitPay’s Bitcoin Black Friday
