Introduced and initiated a month back, DevCore is a serial roundtable discussion workshop for developers interested in discussing and innovating Bitcoin core technology. The panel discussions  not only help attendees presenting their creative ideas for the betterment of Bitcoin, but also indulge them in a number of constructive opportunities, ranging from networking to training & certification.

In its last outing in Boston, DevCore managed to attract a decent number of developers, debaters and enthusiasts to discuss the innovative possibilities of Bitcoin. The event also saw Bitcoin veterans like the Bitcoin Foundation Chief Scientist Gavin Andresen and Circle CEO Jeremy Allaire presenting keynote speeches and participating in interactive Q&A rounds. Circle was also the main sponsor of DevCore Boston.

The Bitcoin Foundation’s Executive Director Patrick Murck believed DevCore V2 to be as successful as it was in Bitcoin. “We are excited to bring DevCore v2 to London and reach out to the European bitcoin community,” he said, while stressing on their “stellar line up of speakers and sponsors,” including Andresen reprising his Boston’s presentation, and Blockchain’s CEO and Lead Developer, Peter Smith and Matt Tuzzolo, respectively.

“We’re excited to support the Foundation’s core focus on the development of the Bitcoin Protocol,” said Smith. “With DevCore London, the Foundation is making an exciting commitment to the global capital of FinTech that we’re proud to participate in.”

Weak Pockets Not Allowed

Despite its noble aims towards bringing like-minded developers under one roof and discuss Bitcoin productively, the admission into the DevCore London event will still be going to irritate you in terms of admission fee. A general registration for the event will be going to cost you £150 (equivalent to $250). The amount has though been eased for students and Bitcoin Foundation members. While the individuals carrying a Student ID will only have to pay £25 ($40), the Bitcoin Foundation members will have to pay £100 ($40) for participating in the event.
