Experts and top commentators in the space have taken to Twitter to cite the amount of development and number of achievements made by the top networks. One of such networks and the one we are focusing on for today’s crypto update is Ethereum’s milestones.
According to reports, the CEO of Ethereum’s competitor, Tron, has taken to social media platform Twitter to express his surprise and praise Ethereum’s achievements over the last 12 months. Justin Sun, the Tron chief has strangely congratulated his rival in the digital asset space. Sun has said that he is looking forward to how the Tron vs. Ethereum competition will shape in the coming year. The number two largest digital currency by market capitalization Ethereum has achieved some huge milestones this year alone.
What is Ethereum’s Major Achievements This Year?
The last 12 months have been remarkable for the Ethereum Blockchain. Among the major things that the network achieved this year, Ether’s co-founder, Joseph Lubin mentioned the tremendous number of user accounts that were set up on the network during the year. Data shows that the number amounts to 20 million. Additionally, $650 million worth of Ether tokens are locked in DeFi during the year. These ETH are to be used as collateral assets for some Blockchain dApps. Lubin also remarks that Ethereum’s miners got no less than 4.5 million ETH as a reward for block creation this year. There is more. No less than 520 new dApps were launched on the Ethereum network in 2019. The sum of new active Ethereum addresses for the totals over 4 million. In another recent tweet, the CEO of Tron congratulated Ethereum on the amount of success it achieved in 2019. He said he looks forward to the fresh competition for the next year with the second-largest digital currency network by market cap.

As for the Tron network, its most recent achievements, were announced by Sun as an increase in the total number of active Tron accounts to 4,307,736. According to him on average daily, around 5,217 new user accounts are created. In only the first week of December, Tron’s total number dApps increased to about 643.
Will the Two Protocols Work Together in the Future?
