These users are whales who stake big. The question now is will these networks be able to maintain this interest? DappRadar reported the number of gambling dApps on EOS, Tron, and Ethereum. The report adds that the whales on these networks are behind 80% of the funds or value of these platforms for gambling dApps.
976 dApps were Analyzed
According to the report, DappRadar analyzed 976 gambling dApps with TRON, EOS, and Ether the leading Blockchains when it comes to top dApps. Between January 2019 and January 2020, the platform measured the percentage of the total value derived from the top 10 wallets of each dApp across six games. The results were widely varying results. Here is how: Tron’s gambling dApps showed the biggest disparity. Its value percentage contributed by whales.
Based on the charts given by DappRadar, RocketGame dropped from its 80% high in 2019 to a 25% low which was contributed by the top ten wallets in January 2020. The EOS and Ethereum gambling dApps highlighted showed more consistency in terms of value given by the whales, including the EOS game, BigGame, and the Ethereum-based dice2.win game.
Tron Has the Highest User Base for Gambling dApps
The report also adds that a huge drop in the whale-contributed value is not a good pattern for the sector as was noted in the RocketGame. All in all, the report notes that such big users might be easily swayed to leave to other gambling dApps with no steady development or added features. Meaning keeping them playing will be challenging. Because they are super gambling dApp users, whales are always sensitive to changes in the features on these dApps and at the opportunity to win huge amounts of money.
In addition to that, whether they actively stay in contact with one another, they are likely going to act in unison if there are any changes in any dApps or over the launch of a dApp that they consider as one that offers improved options.
DappRadar also adds that TRON has the largest user base in terms of crypto gambling. Meanwhile, Ethereum remains the most popular network when it comes to dApps overall. Recall a report from December 2019 pointed toward a 118% growth rate for the Ethereum ecosystem last year.
