The Battle of Elrond, a blockchain-based game from Elrond Network, is now available on Samsung dApp store to give users of the Samsung Galaxy and Note, the opportunity to interact with a medieval multiplayer 5v5 PVP arena.
The development, according to the announcement today, is a product of a collaboration between Samsung and Elrond. The game will support a blockchain-based in-game economy integrated by the Samsung Blockchain Wallet and new players will receive $ERD, Elrond’s native token, as a welcome bonus for 5 PvP games.
The move was first revealed in January 2020. At that time, the Elrond project noted that the game was scheduled to be available “exclusively” via the Samsung Galaxy Store by Q1 of 2020.
Beniamin Mincu, the founder and CEO of Elrond, had stressed that the Battle of Elrond is not a decentralized application (dApp); however, it’s a mobile application that runs using blockchain components.
Elrond’s partnership with the multinational electronics giant began in November 2019 when Samsung integrated the ERD token on its blockchain wallet, which already supported other digital currencies, including Bitcoin (BTC), Ether (ETH), Aergo token, and others.
Elrond (ERD) Overview: Bearish
At the time of writing, the $ERD token is trading at $0.000857, a 1.88% gain on the daily chart. The token has been underperforming despite the several developments and partnerships in the project.
As a result of the continuous bearish performance, the Elrond team said they suspect that the price decline was caused by manipulators and not as a result of lack of development.
“After a closer examination, we have reason to suspect someone may be manipulating the ERD market, playing the community, and playing the Elrond team,” the team said.
