Phygital NFTs Grace High-Fashion’s ‘Bstroy x Givenchy’ Collection

Earlier this month saw luxury French fashion label Givenchy partner-up with Atlanta-founded streetwear brand Bstroy, to launch a collaborative phygital NFT collection for the Spring/Summer 2023 season.

Joining-in with the increasingly-prevalent craze of high-end fashion labels digitizing their garments, the partnership has recently been taken into phygital territory, as now it’s accompanied by a limited edition set of NFTs.

The Physical Collection

Described as something “that looks to the future of fashion through inclusivity, innovative materials, silhouettes, and details,” the physical collection, which launched on November 4th, was curated by a trio which consisted of Givenchy’s Creative Director Matthew M. Williams and Bstroy’s Co-Founders Brick Owens and Dieter “Du” Grams.

It includes several menswear, womenswear and unisex items, which all range from around $530 to $4900- such as a crewneck varsity jacket, sweater, double-headed hoodie, oversized polo shirts, sneakers, and more.

In paying homage to Bstory’s Atlanta roots, many are complete with multicolored patches and graphic designs which reinvent the Georgia Pacific logo.

The NFTs

The Bstroy x Givenchy NFTs are digital replicas of six of the garments, with their color-bursting background artworks being designed by Web3 art collective Felt Zine, and their smart contracts and support for minting and redemption being provided by the LVMH-backed Aura Blockchain Consortium (which the French luxury conglomerate launched in 2021).
