In his interview to Bloomberg TV, Microsoft founder and world’s leading philanthropist Bill Gates presented his optimistic views on Bitcoin as a useful cryptocurrency. He answered questions related to the coin’s potential as a futuristic payment method. He praised Bitcoin for being able to provide people with a low-cost network of transactions. He however raised issues related to the coin’s use in money laundering and in funding terrorism. He believes the world can adopt this technology at larger scale when it undo its anonymity features. He said:

“The customers we’re talking about aren’t trying to be anonymous, they’re willing to be known, so bitcoin technology is key and you can add to it or you could build a similar technology where there’s enough attribution where people feel comfortable that this is nothing to do with terrorism or any type of money laundering.”
