Thousands of merchants using Stripe’s payment platform can accept bitcoin by adding a single line of code to their checkout system (Reuters) Digital payment company Stripe has announced general support for bitcoin, opening up the cryptocurrency to thousands of merchants around the world.
The company is used by many major firms, including Kickstarter, Shopify, Facebook, Twitter and Reddit, though in order to begin accepting bitcoin payments the companies first need to update their checkout platform.
