LONDON, Aug 16, 2016 (PR Newswire Europe via COMTEX) -- LONDON, August 16, 2016 /PRNewswire/ --
Number one best-selling business author and esteemed CEO Marco Robinson today launches The New Rich List - the world's first entrepreneur funding and Accelerator Company.
Robinson, who owns a number of businesses operating under his global franchise NAKED, is launching the business globally after spotting a gap in the market for an accelerator programme that offers mentoring and guidance, truly challenging the way investment in start-ups is carried out.
The platform, which has already secured GBP2 million in pre-seed capital, will enable start-ups to pitch their business model, get funded, receive top-level mentoring and advice, receive access to the New Rich List's database of 50,000 customers and the opportunity to collaborate with other businesses in the portfolio.
Robinson's existing portfolio which consists of companies in the travel, food and beverage, property, cosmetics and entertainment sector are all part of the New Rich List and are based on his patented crypto-currency, NAKED dollars (NKD$).
Based on block-chain technology, NAKED dollars or NKD$ enable loyal consumers to save money on their usual spending habits and be rewarded in every purchase from companies selected to be part of the New Rich List.
Robinson said: "The New Rich List is the most exciting and disruptive thing I have ever done. The investor interest we have had so far has been phenomenal. Think Dragon's Den meets the Apprentice in an offline formality, but with the unique concept of both mentoring and funding entrepreneurs. It is something I have been working on for ten years.
"By rewarding customers generously, in a crypto-currency available for use on the newest and most exciting products and services on the market, the New Rich List will become a hub for the best, most talked about, most investable businesses of the future."
Within 2016, the New Rich List plans to issue an IPO, giving members the opportunity to multiply their input several times over in the next couple of years. This will be done through various funding level options for angel investors including Agent level, Mentor level and Disrupter level.
Robinson continued: "This strategy will enable the New Rich List to be listed on the AIM Market within two years and various other stock markets within the years following. I believe we will raise GBP15 million in seed capital in 2016 alone.
"The beauty of it is that instead of competing with other businesses, within the New Rich List entrepreneurs can collaborate with diverse start-ups across a variety of sectors- hugely strengthening their network."
The New Rich List is already paying dividends and has released class 'A' shares with voting rights, asset ownership and immediate dividends of 12%. Robinson says newly funded start-ups will immediately see the benefit of earning profit and a loyal customer base.
"Our unique crypto blockchain currency will make shares in the New Rich List more valuable and whilst close ended now, we plan to make it open ended like bitcoin and develop debit cards for loyal users in following years."
The New Rich List makes a profit through collecting mentoring fees from qualifying entrepreneurs, then returning this investment when the start-up is fully funded. Mentors will take an equity position in each start-up they mentor within the New Rich List's portfolio.
Robinson will also be inviting start-ups and budding entrepreneurs to pitch their business ideas to him in the next month. The winner of the competition will be awarded GBP10,000 to launch their business and GBP10,000 worth of NAKED Dollars. Robinson will be announcing the competition in the next week.
