- In the month of October, Tron and Ethereum generated $280 million and $159 Million in transaction volume respectively
- Tron’s daily active addresses increased by 248% in the month of October
- Ethereum’s daily active addresses rose by 10% in the same time period
- TRONCHAIN and TRON2GET were the 2 Dapps behind Tron’s impressive growth
The month of October has been an active one for the Tron (TRX) network. According to DappRadar’s most recent DeFi and Exchanges report, the Tron network generated a total of $280 million in transaction volume. In the same time period, the Ethereum network generated a transaction volume of $159 million.
The team at DappRadar further elaborated on the Dapp statistics using the following statement and accompanying chart.
As depicted in the below chart, it’s quite evident that Ethereum and TRON generated a total transaction volume of $159 million and $280 million respectively in October.
TRONCHAIN and TRON2GET Behind Tron’s Impressive Growth
From the above-shared chart, it can be observed that Tron’s transaction volume has been lagging behind that of Ethereum for over a year until last month. The report goes on to explain that two DApps were behind Tron’s impressive growth in daily active addresses and transaction volume.
In October, TRON and Ethereum’s daily active wallets increased by 248% (4,135) and 10% (58,643) respectively compared to September.
The dapps behind the growth were TRONCHAIN, TRON2GET from TRON and HEX, and Forsage from Ethereum…
The dapps behind such growth in total transaction volume in October are the same as the dapps mentioned within daily active wallets. TRONCHAIN, TRON2GET from TRON and HEX and Forsage from Ethereum.
Tron Could Finally Be Catching Up to Ethereum
From the above-shared chart, it can be loosely concluded that activity on the Tron ecosystem has grown to a point where it has come to challenge that of Ethereum. This is ignoring the fact that the two dapps of TRONCHAIN and TRON2GET are classified as ‘high risk’ on DappRadar.com.
Perhaps waiting for next month’s report would be a good idea in determining whether the Tron network’s monthly transaction volume will once again exceed that of Ethereum.
