Most of us have been part of this community for awhile. Most of us understand that bitcoin is a revolution that is in the process of changing the economic situation across the world. Most of us recognize how much has taken place over the past five years and how far we still have to go. Most of us realize hard work over time is what truly dictates the future.
With that being said.
The majority of the community understands that mt gox wasn't designed for what it has become. Let them figure their stuff out. I'm a tiny bit sick of the ” OMG gox OMG ” posts.
I'm also not impressed with the treatment of alternative currencies here, namely doge. You can't handle a community that is passionate about what they believe in? Remember when bitcoin was traveling the same path?
I hate self posts as much as the next person, but damn, bitcoin, what happened to you? Too many people gambling on prices? Too many people impatient that there has been relative consistency for the past month? Didn't make the overnight 300% return you wanted? Never been goxxed before? Aww.
Cryptocurrencies are changing the world. Bitcoin should embrace the fact that in the near future it will be viewed as the grandfather to all of them.
Is the eventual value of bitcoin going to be insane compared to where it is now? Probably. Are other cryptos going to have impressive marketcaps too? Most likely.
What's good for one is good for all. Take a few minutes and relax. Think about what you can do to help. Educate someone. Educate yourself. Those of you who are reading this are already ahead of the curve, and you know you are, I suppose all I'm trying to say is to stay humble and keep things in perspective.
edit: Apparently quite a few assumed this was a negative “HEY FUCK YOU BITCOIN” thread instead of a “constructive thoughts from someone who's been here awhile” thread. Oh well.
