The competition, held at the association's tradeshow – 10, awards a prize to the conference exhibitor with the most innovative electronic payment technology or product that can be used to expand digital financial services in underserved communities around the world. The prize is sponsored by the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation.
Chu, a regional sales manager for the compliance-focused, secured cloud and hosting company, has been a regular attendee and judge at ETA events in the past, which promote digital transaction technologies and identify innovative startups that aim to change the financial transaction system. Chu and his fellow judges have narrowed the field down to six potential companies which will be announced prior to the event.
