CoinFest 2015 to Be Held at Vancouver on February 20 to 22, 2015Vancouver city of Canada is the birthplace of CoinFest; continuing the tradition the city is going to organize the event on 20 to 22nd February, 2015. Being the home of the world’s first Bitcoin ATM, Vancouver will once again be organizing the event which is being organized by Andrew Wagner, founder of CoinFest and a director of the Bitcoin Co-op.
The organizers of the event invite the participants asking that they should get ready for a decentralized 3-day extravaganza to include multiple venues, a conference, and plenty of surprises. Andrew Wagner said that the fourth edition of the decentralized currency convention will take place February 20 to 22, 2015, in at least 13 cities.
He made it clear that he likes Bitcoin, and feels it brings the world together in a sense the organizers can prove that, because this convention will occur simultaneously worldwide. This is going to be the most awaited event of the year. After the first two CoinFest conventions, Vancouver is all set to welcome the participants.
Earlier, in 2013, the event expanded to two days and three cities in February 2014 in the city. This year some special programs have been added in the event; for instance, this year art and trade show, currency and commodity exchange, game room, mining and hardware demonstration, and currency conference, etc. will be part of it.
Vancouver Has Been at the Forefront of Bitcoin
The official website of the organizers shows that plans call for CoinFest 2015 to see events in those Canadian cities, as well as Toronto and Montreal, and locales in Botswana, Brazil, Chile, Ghana, Italy, Mexico, Sierra Leone, and Uruguay. Thus, the event will be held in various cities around the world to maximize the reach.
Giving his statement to media Wagner said that he does believe in borders; rather, he believes in the one-world thing to a certain extent, and Bitcoin kind of moves to obsolete a lot of nuisances we find when we try to interact with each other around the world. There can be no doubt about the fact that Wagner has been a dedicated soldier of Bitcoin.
For instance, he threw the Crypto Block Party as part of Car Free Day Vancouver’s Main Street festival in June this year. He is also someone who is looking at setting up a virtual chat room, so people who can’t attend in person can participate. His effort is to form a global community that’s unified and build a place Bitcoin is usually competitive and receptive.
